Notes - Daniel Hechter, the famous fashion designer, who is sometimes referred to as the inventor of ready-to-wear (prêt-à-porter) was president of the Paris Saint Germain Football Club from 1974 to 1978. The legend states that Daniel Hechter who was an absolute fan of Johann Cruyff was inspired by the design of Ajax Amsterdam jersey to craft the jersey of the club of the City of Lights with a large red band surrounded by thin white lines on a blue jersey in order to complete the trio of colours of the French flag, like a gift to its capital.
