Notes - Extremely rare player shirt believed to been issued to or worn by Parker in the 1986 UEFA European Under-21 Championship Quarter Final 2nd Leg against Denmark, played at Maine Road on 29th March 1986, Parker played the full match as England drew 1-1 with Paul Elliot’s goal cancelling out Pierre Larsen’s first half tally. The Three Lions had won 1-0 in Copenhagen a fortnight earlier and thus progressed to the Semis where they faced an in form Italy captained by Gianluca Vialli. Parker missed the Semi-Final defeat but had featured in 3 of the side’s qualifiers ahead to the Denmark game.
He went on the earn his senior debut in 1989 and earned 19 caps in total for his country and was a key player at the Italia 90’ World Cup. At club level he enjoyed his best spells with Fulham, QPR and Manchester United and won two back-to-back Premier League titles with the Red Devils.
